REFLECTION

As a non native English speaker, starting a blog is heaps hard for me. Writing as a blogger needs good English to persuade the reader, and myself is failing to do so, even I don't find my blog persuasive. This is so hard for me to commenting on the media issue as well, as my English is not good enough to do so. I always have the thoughts in my mind, but it is way too hard to transform it to become an actual blog, this actually frustrated me a lot as I could do nothing but improve my English in some day.

Before i started this blog, I personally never have any experience in writing a blog, and after this, I might actually try to have one, rather than commenting on the media issue or talking about the design of blogs, I think I will try write on fashion things as I have interest in it, and i believe I will enjoy to write things that I enjoy with more.

After doing the blog, I would say I have developed some blogging skills, say I now, understood that how important the sizing, wording, layering of the blog is, I also noticed it took a great effort to do a good blog. Nevertheless, it took you tunes of time to write a good article. Before starting the blog, I thought writing a blog would be easy, but now, I wouldn't say that again, doing the blog took me almost most of my time, day or night, to think about what should I write, topic that readers might interest to read about, and to explain what is blogging is really killing me, it is like asking me to lecture a class, painful, but fun.

I do encourage you guys to own a blog, it is actually fun to have one, it provided a way to let you share your thoughts, be your own writer.

HOW IS BLOGGING AFFECTING US

A Blog, place where letting us to write online, on about everything, anytime. People in ten years ago, who still loves writing letter, reading a books, now in the 21st century, they read blogs, rather than letter or writing a diary.

A blog provided an opportunity for everyone like you, me, your grandma to own a private surface to share their thoughts or theories base on their experience or on current issues.

Every different blogs generally have different specific area, reader can choose what they are interesting in, for example, they love travelling, they could go to a blog which specifically writing about traveling, just like different section on Newspaper, but more instantly, more options, and more topic covered.

I am not saying the old should be given away, but blogging, does affect our society, people nowadays would rather spend 10 hours reading other's blog, but not sitting to read newspaper for an hour. Because reading a blog tend to funnier, not as boring as reading a newspaper. Blog includes a lot of images, even video, it is nothing the newspaper can compare with

FACEBOOK PROS AND CONS

FACEBOOK is one of the biggest social network or blog nowadays, Facebook bought to us both pros and cons.

PROS

Allows users to connect with other users through networks and groups of like-minded individuals

Many of the newer "applications" feature games and quizzes that are entertaining and provide a fun way to keep in touch with friends

It's very easy to load a multitude of pictures to specified Facebook albums, sort of like Photobucket.

he interface used by Facebook is simple, easy to use and orderly.

Facebook is a public application. As such, it is quite appealing to the younger lot. The public application makes it simples for students to share their lives, whether educational, social, personal or professional in a fun and learning environment.

Facebook lets you decide whatever you want to share with whomever you want to, which makes it possible for you to keep your privacy intact.

CONS

The interface of Facebook is less enjoyable and could be boring at times, as compared to other social networking sites.

Dependence on technological communication tool like Facebook can adversely affect the social communication skills of the youths.

Social networking tools can easily become an addiction. It could hamper a student's educational obligations or an employees output at his workplace, which explains as to why most educational institutes and organizations have banned the use of Facebook in their premises.

Even if profile privacy is restricted, it is still very easy for other people to access profiles. There is always the chance that a predator will find information and use it to cause harm. Many users fail to make use of privacy settings at all, leaving them that much more vulnerable to online predators.

PRINT VS WRITTEN

Writing a blog is different than writing on a paper, to be honest, when you are writing on a paper you basiclly do not care the font size, the spacing, the font you are writing with, but writing online, you do need to take all of these into account, and a lot more than that.

According to Roger Parker, designing the blog includes a lot of elements, for example, the line spacing, font size, font color, sizing, background color, white space, adding hyperlinks, to avoid typefaces, keeping readers informed and so on. Frankly I could keep typing all day to tell you how hard is writing the blog.

Rather than writing on a plain paper, the blogger, or the blog designer actually have to think a lot more, say which color will the reader read comfortable, what element will make the reader feel the blog is worth to read, what size of the font I should use and the reader will feel comfortable. It involves a lot of thinking and designing.

A successful blog not only has the best information, also the best layout to attract the reader, designing a blog is fun, but for me it is still a lot to learn

The E BOOK READER VS BOOKS

Firstly, a E-book reader is a electronic mobile device designed primarily for the purpose of reading digital e books and periodicals.

E book and book are very similar, and sharing with one goals. To allow the reader to read a book. Both E book and book has their pros and cons, and I will talk about it here

The E BOOK is easily portable, the user can carry multiple books on one device, it is also easily readable, most e readers offer zoom function, letter re-sizing, note taking on e book reader is much easier and faster, the notes can also be found and referenced quickly and easily, and they don't have to be permanent, nevertheless, lighting conditions become meaningless as the reader has a great lighting system to allow reader to read whenever and wherever the reader like

On the other hand, the classic book is easily obtainable, as bookstores are everywhere, books are easily portable (not few books tho), and they are cheap and will not cause significant eye-strain.

The down side of e books are it could cause eye strain by long period reading in front of it, and it also need to use power.

The down side of book is, you could not carry 2 or 3 books in a same time, its damn HEAVY! you will also need light source to read them, it limits the location or the timing to read a book, and if you make notes in the book, it can never be erased.

To be frank, both ebook and book have their pros and cons, it is hard to choose one of them and stick to it. But the technology in the 21st century does helping human to have a better life style and improving our way to lives.

THE CLASSIFICATIONS

What is a blog? A blog is simply a way that allow the user, with freedom, to write about anything, you like fashion, food, film, travel, photos, even use it as a diary. It can also be private, or shown in public.
Most of the bloggers, write things specificly to attract the readers to read and to discuss. People of all ages can become the own reporters, a blog also giving a chance to express themselves.

Here is an example blog honeyee, the founder of SOPH, HIROFUMI KIYONAGA, he uses his blog on honyee, to share his thought on fashions, use it as a way to promote his fashion brand, it is also an example of a genre-based blog. He is writing base on fashion, and the reader who, interested in fashion will take a look of the blog, and if they found it interesting, they will start following the blog.

A blog is a place where you could share your thoughts!

THE FIFA 13

The Article on guardian written by Keith Stuart on 1 June 2012, talks about the new feature in FIFA 13, David Rutter, the producer of FIFA since 2007, says The FIFA 12 has a lot of new technology, such as the player impact engine did a good job of updating the fluidity and dynamics of the game, in the FIFA 13, we will not rewrite the entire engine, but improve the engine. For example, how the ball is spinning, the speed it's travelling, whether it's rising or falling'.

As a gamer, and I did play the last series of FIFA 12, I frankly, cannot wait FIFA 13 comes out and sit home all day just to playing with it. The FIFA biggest rivial WINNING ELEVEN, which disappointed a lot of fans since last series, most of the football gamer, joined the FIFA compaign instead.

THE DAUGHTER AND FATHER

Recently a video on youtube is really hot in Hon Kong, the vedio shows photos of a group of young ladies  pretending the rape secne or sex scene, lauging to the camera naked. And most ridiculously, the person who posted it online is actually one of the students father. As he wanted the soceity noticed how crazy can the teens nowadays acting behind their parents. When he talks to her daughter, she found the photos normal and cool, because everyone at uni is doing the same.

IMO, i found the daughter naive, everyone doing the same thing does not simply make it right, plus following the trend will not make you cool. I understand that some might blame the father, saying he should not post the photos online, but I understand why would he did that, and he has to do that, to educate her daughter how navie and how dumb she is by taking these kind of photos.

GUILT FREE? REALLY?

The future of human's life - having sex with the robot workers
In response to ''Robots, Men and Sex Tourism' Ian Yeoman and Michelle Mars of the Victoria Management School in Wellington New Zealand discusses how the sex industry will be like in the year 2050 - having sex with the robot sex worker. Ian and Michelle claims that it will help human being to avoid to the sexually transmitted diseases, and feeling guilt free, which I found, and it sounded ridiculous to me.

I personally support that they found a way to help human being to avoid the sexual transmitted diseases, but I strongly disagree and sick of the idea that Ian and Michelle point out - 'Guilt Free'.

Ian and Michelle believed that, the android sex workers may provide a 'guilt free' experience for men, and even clients feel guilt free as they actually haven't had sex with a real person and therefore don't have to lie to their partner.'
So to me, Ian and Michelle is trying to provide an excuses to a man to cheat on their partner and do not have to feel guilty, I found this unacceptable and ridiculous, arent they just encouraging men to cheat on their partner? so please SHUT UP IAN AND MICHELLE.

WHO YOU STANDING FOR?

The article on PCWORLD by Ian Paul on 18 February 2011 discussed the features between Google Android and Apple IOS, such as third-party apps, music and video, mobile hardware, set-top boxes, the web and goodies. To be frank, Apple IOS does dominance in the past few years, until then, the Samsung company released the Galaxy 2, which brought the Android system to the same level with the Apple IOS system.

The huge rivalry between Android and Apple really interests me. For me, Apple IOS and Android are both really successful, even though I am a Android user, you cannot deny the effort or the success that Apple IOS has made . Nevertheless, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has just released in the market, everyone is waiting for the Apple to fight back, so am I. COME ON APPLE, SHOW US WHAT YOU HAVE GOT

STOP TWEETING THE TWEETS!

A radio play on ABC media report published 1 june 2012, Media reporter Richard Aedy talks about the rise of professional footballer using Twitter nowadays. John Price, professor from Sunderland University mentioned, today, more journalists tend to report the stories base on professional footballer's tweets, this is undoubtedly making the journalists life easier – they find story of footballer to write easier but is it really? This causes of division among journalists where you’re sometimes getting journalists releasing stuff on Twitter which other journalists feel it shouldn’t be because they’re giving the story away almost. So you get press packs going to press conferences with managers and some of the more older traditional journalists who aren’t on Twitter get upset that some of the younger ones who perhaps are on Twitter are releasing information which they wanted to keep until tomorrow morning’s newspaper and that is causing division among some of them definitely.

To me tweets written by the professional player should never be on the newspaper, this is unfair, to both the reader or the traditional writer, it erase all the hard work the writers have done - going to every press conferences, go to direct meeting with the footballers, by simply follow the professional player on twitter, and it is kind of cheating to the reader - they spend no effort on finding the stories! therefore STOP POSING FOOTBALLERS TWEETS ON NEWSPAPER! I DO NOT WANT TO READ IT!
